Firefox Add On updated automatically tonight cheerfully lets through a plethora of adverts. Ooops.!!!

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

I suggest you ask in the forum, with a more detailed description (e.g. which particular ads are being let through and on which sites).

    Gracias!

I have several pages set to “Disable on …”. Since the upgrade from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2, ads on those pages are also blocked even though Adblock Plus’ icon and tooltip indicates that it is disabled on the current page.

    Thank you.

Ghodmode, Check forums for replies to your post. It’s much easier to get help there then in here.

How do you upgrade to a newer version of AdBlock?

    I am using Firefox 3.0.9

    Please advice.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

For example by going to menu Tools / Add-ons and clicking “Find updates”. Or by going to https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/1865 directly and clicking “Add to Firefox”.

Can you please update for TB3.0b2? This is an important addon that I have previously used it extensively to read my RSS feeds.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

The current development build will install in current Thunderbird 3.0 nightlies and in 3.0b3 once it comes out (supposedly in two weeks). But that doesn’t mean that it will work properly there – I didn’t have time to test in Thunderbird 3.0 yet.

For the many, many of us who still use Firefox 2.0.0.20 because we cannot use the Firefox 3.0.x / 3.5 crashware, will you keep ABP 1.0.2 available for download with a reasonably up-to-date website dictionary? Please?

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

addons.mozilla.org has all Adblock Plus versions. However, do you really want to stay on an unsupported browser with known security holes? If so, I recommend scanning your computer for malware regularly – who knows, maybe the malware is even responsible for the crashes of Firefox 3.0/3.5 you seem to experience. The other typical source of crashes is typically the plug-ins you have installed (this is a different thing than add-ons).
