Hi,
Just to signal that Adblockplus 2.6.6 hides the download status bar (bottom left) in Thunderbird 24.6.0 under Windows 7 pro. This may have been the case also in the earlier versions since I had this trouble since long (the bar showing sometimes and sometimes not for unknown reasons) and it took me long (switching off addons one by one) to detect where the trouble comes from.
When Adblockplus is activated, the "not read' and 'number of message' counter shift from bottom right to bottom left in the status bar, as the other icons (e.g. clippings), thus hiding the 'download progression bar'
The provisory solution has been to desactivate Adblockplus from Thunderbird and to wait for a fix. Which is not really a solution .

Current Thunderbird version is 31.2.0, do you still see that issue after updating? Do you have any other extensions installed? Does the issue still happen if you disable all extensions but Adblock Plus? Feel free to answer in the issue directly.
That's not something I can reproduce, and frankly I don't see why it would happen - unless other extensions are involved.

Re: adblock plus hide download status bar on thunderbird
I will update ASAP.
Clearly I have tried a large range of combinations of extension desactivation and I can get the status bar to normal just when ADB is desactivated. Here are my current settings:
Nom Version Activée
British English Dictionary 1.19.1 true
Clippings 4.1.1 true
Dictionnaire français «Moderne» 4.3 true
Extra Folder Columns 1.1.5 true
FoxyProxy Standard 4.4.1 true
Lightning 2.6.6 true
MagicSLR 3.9.1 true
Provider for Google Calendar 1.0.2 true
Signature Switch 1.6.12 true
SmtpSelect 1.2.1 true
Adblock Plus 2.6.6 false
Titlebar Cleaner 0.4.1 false
As you can see it in the bug tracker/developer list, it seems that this issue goes through versions... see https://issues.adblockplus.org/ticket/180
Best,
Patrick
