Disabling adblock and moodle programs

I am building a course in moodle (firefox is browser) and could not get the popup window process to happen - all I get are downloads. After disabling Adblock, nothing looks any different (even youtube) and I still cannot get popup windows in moodle. Any suggestions?

If disabling Adblock Plus doesn't resolve the issue, then Adblock Plus has nothing to do with the problem.
