Adblock Plus don't work when site opened from command line.
Close Firefox, choose the site with banners and run a command: firefox site_name.
Is it reproduced?

It's similar to the problem that ABP doesn't block ads on the browser's home page: The page starts loading and rendering before ABP is completely loaded.
It's a known problem without a good solution: en/preferences#please_kill_startup_performance
Despite what the description of that preference says, it actually doesn't ensure that ABP can start blocking ads before the browser's home page loads.
