Mediafire and 4Shared

Post by IceFox »

So from what I have noticed Mediafire has started with pop-up ads (new tab, not window). I have a couple of filters in my Adblock (I have tried with the default setup as well) but they keep showing up. Also on 4Shared they have like 5 ads which don't get removed for whatever reason.

Try it:
Mediafire, have to click on download (If it doesn't show up try again, it comes and goes):

Code: Select all

http://www.mediafire.com/download/d8r1x48c8zcvid4/Faster+Clips.rar

4Shared:

Code: Select all

http://www.4shared.com/get/5Phtns5xce/CSGO.html

Filters that I use:
EasyList
Fanboy's Annoyance List
Malware Domains
Spam404
Fanboy's Swedish

those above are custom filters, just add them to your ABP:
how-to add custom filters:
forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42013

for mediafire: delete first all cookies for mediafire

Did you delete cookies / local storage for mediafire ? then refresh the page and test again

to delete all cookies / local storage for a site use cookies manager + for firefox.

Yes I deactivated my "Toggle Strict Pop-Up Blocker" addon and it showed up after erasing cookies for website and all history for it.
