Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
what do you mean? the userscript is obviously not working.
Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
it's working for me. If does not work for you, report the issue on the userscript page providing examples, screenshot etc.

Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
Hi, not sure if this is the right topic, I wrote to Easy List forum but I dont understand the reply or if greasmonckey scripts are the one and only solution then its too hard for me, I'd prefer to add strings directly into adblock window.
Therefore I ask here, you can move my posts in the right topic if needed.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0
https://postimg.org/image/rjdvivf93/
after TWO clicks on "Refresh page" the ads disappear.
There are elements to be blocked (Cntr+Uppercase+V in ADBplus), I selected all them, but its unpossible to copy-paste.
I read the official announcement of ADB on 18th August 2016 but I hope that the issue may be resolved in the future, even if it seems very hard. Thanks.

it's very easy (install an addon, then go to that link and click again):

Hi, why an addon instead as in the past forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44212&p=148424#p148344
directly via ADBplus filters?
the more addons the more slow-lag in FF in my experience.

Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
I'm not talking about the sponsored ads in the news feed. I am talking about other ads on the side targeted at items I just bought. They are tracking my movements, even though I have allegedly forbid that from happening. And these ads on the side have been invisible since I installed adblockplus. For a couple months now. And all of a sudden FB has broken through. None of the other sites I frequent are showing me any ads and no evidence that they are following me. Boy, this following sure brings new meaning to the old "Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean somebody isn't following me."
Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
So far, these filters have blocked the ads for me on Fx 49.0.2:
facebook.com###u_0_0
facebook.com##.home_right_column
facebook.com###u_0_0
facebook.com##.home_right_column
Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
Intersting, thanks for sharing these filters. I keep them in mind for the future.
(At the moment all the ads disappeared doing...simply nothing: a miracle?).

Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
FB is giving me a hard time too. I would like to get rid of:
recommended games
as well as
people you might know
which both integrate into my newsfeed unfortunately (chronological order, not top news), and I have not yet found the right way to get rid of these pests even with element hiding helper, since all options I try in there will result in regular posts being affected as well. It is most frustrating

Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
for "people you might know"
Code: Select all
facebook.com##._5pcr._4nef._5pcr.userContentWrapper > ._1w_m._1dwg
Re: Facebook news feed "sponsored" posts
Interestingly, my ads just started within the past couple of weeks. The ones on the right and the ones in the center that you cannot delete, like anything else that comes through that space (the wall).
I just entered your suggested filter (facebook.com##div[data-xt]) and it works perfectly.
It seems to slow the opening of messages and notifications (a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a millisecond).
You guys are brilliant. I am humbled.
Thank you.

I never used GM, because I'm not a geek.
Leave it alone - I hope.
Thank you.

FB is offering new challenges every day. We managed to eliminate the ads in the center, but if I have to look at the cheap click-bait of Ivanka and her father, I will take a leave of absence. They are still managing to insert crap in the right-hand column.
Mr Zuckerberg is a greedy man. He should go after the fake news site with the gusto he is pursuing my dollars. Foolish though, I won't click and I won't spend a penny. Nor do I get my news on FB.
Yep, in ABP we trust. (Thanks, up there!)
