“Warning: Unresponsive script”

I go to: Extensions, Adblock Plus, More, Filter preferences…, Filter subscriptions tab, Actions, Update filter and I get this;
“Warning: Unresponsive script” and Waterfox freezes up.

Why?

check if your filters are unsorted (right click on the header like in the screenshot):



You could also uncheck "Count filter hits" (click ABP icon, options)
Clear cookies / cache in firefox
