Ads appearing in Gmail 'social' and 'promotions' tabs

Hi,

Anyone else having issues using in Firefox with ads that look like emails appearing at the top of your emails in the 'social' and 'promotions' tabs in gmail? I'm getting two at the top of each section and it's really annoying me.

I know I could just switch off the social and promotions tabs but I actually find it quite useful for keeping my inbox tidy.

It happened a couple of weeks ago and that time I just updated all my filter subscriptions and signed up to pretty much every one on the list. But now it's just happened again today.

I've just got rid of all the foreign filter subscriptions in case that was causing a conflict and updated easylist again. The ads are gone in gmail for now (I clicked the X button on them and they disappeared).

I have 'allow non-intrusive' ads set to 'off'.

Same issue here, I'm seeing one or two ads in a row at the top of the list of emails on the social and promotions tabs in gmail. This started for me in the last week or two.

Disabling those tabs is not an acceptable solution.

I just started seeing these yesterday and I already feel like I'm being spammed. I have the "promotions" tab disabled (for years), and these new ads just started appearing under "social."

Now they are showing up in the primary tab also. I am getting bombarded. It looks like you have to disable them one at a time as they show up, and you can only block by advertiser now. I guess we are going to be forced to endure these from now on. There's no other way to turn them off, like there used to be.
