Hiding center ad space in Yahoo Answwers

Post by denmarks »

99% of the time I display a category page in Yahoo Answers. Adblock Plus hides the center ad but the space for it remains.
Here is an example page: https://answers.yahoo.com/dir/index?sid=396546089
I have tried to use the Element Hiding Helper but it moves the middle and right column up therefore hiding half of the input box in the right column.
Is there any solution to remove the space?

The method Yahoo uses to display the ad is strange. Sometimes there will be a button at the top of the right column to hide the ad. It therefore seems to use both columns for the ad with the right column overlaying it. My guess is that there is a relative overpay position so if the box is removed the column is too high.
