For some reason the plugin is not blocking ads on Google each time I initially open Firefox. The "Allow some non-intrusive advertising" check box is unticked.
If I refresh the page the ads disappear as expected. I've had this happen on multiple machines all running Windows 10.

Any ideas if this is Firefox related or the plug-in itself (some sort of delayed start?)?
Thanks
Not blocking Google ads on first launch
Re: Not blocking Google ads on first launch
years ago ABP was blocking the ads on the FF start, but this provoked a delay on the whole browser (which was waiting ABP starting), users complained and the devs ... changed the ABP behaviour.
Re: Not blocking Google ads on first launch
Thanks the info mapx. It's only started happening recently for me (months not years).
If I keep typing in new queries the plugin still doesn't filter the ads even after >2minutes. It only starts filtering if I click through to a link or if the page is refreshed. If I open the links in a new tab/window, it still keeps showing the ads in the original.
Maybe it's how Google uses AJAX to show the new results without refreshing the page.
