Firefox Beta Android, no more options for AdBlock

Post by MrGolem »

I was not sure if this belonged under Firefox or Android sub Forum topics.

I have 2 tablets running Firefox Beta 52.0b2

1 - Samsung Galaxy Tab A running CyanogenMod Android 4.2.2
2 - Samsung Galaxy Tab E running Android 6.0.1

both have the same problem.

Many ads are displayed on all sites (mostly Taboola ?).

When I go to Tools - Add-ons - AdBlock Plus (v2.8.2) and touch to go to Settings, the resulting page is Blank.
There are no options listed, No Lists available, No Check boxes. Only choices are Disable and Uninstall.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared Firefox and still no Options available.

On same tablets, Firefox Normal (50.1.0) AdBlock Plus works well and Options are all listed.

Sadly I can't. I don't have an account. I thought my credentials here would be valid/same.

I you can do it, I would appreciate. Just copy or link to this thread. If you need more, I will add whatever is needed.

Thanks.

On this morning's update to Normal Firefox for Android, (now version 51.0.2), this latest version now also has the BUG I described in my original message.

There are no more option available in Settings, No List, No Check Boxes. Just Disable and Uninstall as choices.

Could someone bring this to the attention of ABP creators.

I would prefer not to create a new account on a different system just to inform the developpers.

Please pass this along, Please.

Thank you.

[this is a secoond copy since first version was met with a "We do not like spammers here". I have no clue why.]

While debugging something unrelated, I noticed that in Firefox Beta 53.0.b11 all AdBlock settings options are now visible. I have an older tablet stuck on FF 53.0.b4 and options are Still Invisible just like normal Firefox 52.0.2 still invisible. AdBlock did not change version so I am thinking Firefox changed something between version b4 and b11. I was not paying attention to FF version changes, so I can't confirm when it came back, but b11 Works.

I'm using an Asus Zenfone 2 and FireFox 53.0.2 and I STILL can not add or configure personal filters with ABP.
Why ? I don't understand.
As it is said here, and as you can see below (although it is in French) there's the option to deactivate allowing of non-intrusive adds and Filter lists

However, I still can not add personal filters.
Is it possible to add this option to Android as it is possible a long time on computer?
