We have been receiving reports recently that ads are appearing again on PCH.com (Publishers Clearinghouse) after being blocked for several months. This site has apparently started using a very aggressive form of ad-block circumvention technology that is extremely difficult to block.

We have reported the ads to the filter list authors. (We don't maintain the filter lists ourselves.) Keep your filter lists up to date to make sure you get any new filter rules the list authors release. Please note, however, that there may be no way to block these ads now without also blocking the content you came to see.

I am not sure who your post was directed towards, but here is my feedback on this filter:

From what I've tried it works great here in the Sweepstakes section:

including token bonus game in the sweepstakes section.

It works incredibly well here--the redeem tokens section:

it works great in playing the bonus games here:

Lotto section: it works great on the lotto section until you hit the $500 set for life game where it won't load and advance the onboarding process:

In the lotto section, it also won't load the power match bonus game at all here:

eta: Note on lotto section: Sometimes they have Play Pack where you can skip the onboarding process and just select the lotto game(s) you want to play. Normally you have to play a round of everything (you must play all lotto games at least once) before being able to choose which lotto game to play. That is the onboarding process.

Keno section--works great, but won't load same $500 set for life game and the slots game in the keno section:

For the game section, it won't load games at all of the ones I've tried--for example:

As far as 'reproducing the issue' just go to the sections of the PCH.com. There are intrusive ads everywhere that load at the top, on the right side, on the bottom and a sponsored video smack dab in the middle of the page that plays for (In my case) 50 seconds without the filter I mentioned above. Unfortunately, as I have described, the filter does impair some functionality as well.

- install uBo (ublock origin)
- add this filter (special html filtering)

However, did you test the last filter (you can test them in chrome)?

I just tried the first filter (pch.com#$#abort-on-property-read setInterval ) and it solved all the above issues BUT now I can't load any keno card:

For me, though, it's better than dealing with all their intrusive ads. Thanks.

Let's Keno load, but with little or no improvement in page loading (vs without any filter)
Works on Slots
Does not allow games to load


So far, the best solution for me is this one:

pch.com#$#abort-on-property-read setInterval

I only have to remove it for Keno and Sweepstakes (some sweepstakes do not function properly). However, it results in the other sections (games, lotto, redeem tokens, vip, slots) to all perform exceptionally well--fast loading, no ads, little if any delays).

It's a serious improvement in experience vs. without the filter.

Installing uBlock will block the Keno and Sweepstakes ads without disrupting functionality. It does not block ads on other parts of the site like token games or vip.

Using ABP using the filter:

will block ads on those other sections, but must be removed to play the keno and sweepstakes section (you can use uBlock to block those ads, however).

They must be reading this at PCH because a few hours after I posted this, now Keno won't play at all using uBlock and I had to uninstall it.

After I uninstalled uBlock. I decided to try it again and reinstalled it. It now allows Keno to load and while not blocking all the ads, blocks the annoying videos. The issue might have been with one or more of the filters I added to it.

So-so. Worked really well on Keno, lotto, and scratchoffs, but with it on, I can't see the sidebar of sweeps or switch between the scratchoffs on the main screen. I also can't play some sweeps.

For uBo: remove any custom filter and just test again.
