ABP consuming excessive CPU & RAM

Post by CLK »

ABP V 2.9.1
FireFox V 56.0
Windows 7 Home Premium

Started to notice a slow down when utilizing FF. Not on IE. Through troubleshooting I have narrowed to ABP. Currently have disabled and my performance is back to normal.

Please advise.

1. FF 56 is full of bugs (passing to the new webextensions system)
Install FF 57 (beta)
2. Give up ABP 2.9.1 (outdated) and install the new ABP (the old one wont work anymore since FF 57 will land)

Installed FF 57 but found that two extensions I use often are not supported yet in this version, LastPass and Bamboo Feed Reader. Plus my Bookmarks were not complete by a lot.

I'll wait until the official Nov. 14th roll out.

Thanks.
