I have used these two ABP addons for a long time and am wondering if they work in the new version.
Are old ABP addons working with new ABP?

No, they are discontinued due to the new firefox extensions system.
Probably similar functionalities will be integrated in the future in ABP.
However to create hiding filters (in some more primitive mode) you can click ABP icon, click "block element", select what you want .. (now this feature does not work for all users - some issue in ABP / firefox)
