Custom filters present in the filesystem but not in ABP

Post by izovadaszauto »

Hi,

Recently I noticed that ads started appearing that I previously blocked. I went to the custom filters setting of ABP and to my surprise, I found it to be empty. I searched my ~/.mozilla directory for the URL of the ad I remembered I blocked earlier and found all my filters in the patterns.ini and elemhide.css files of the ~/.mozilla/firefox/<userid>.default/adblockplus directory.

I added a new custom filter in ABP just to test what happens and it ended up in a clearly different format in a clearly different location (~/.mozilla/firefox/<userid>.default/browser-extension-data/{d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}/storage.js). I don't know when exactly ABP changed its storage format and location, it could have happened several updates ago. Is there any way to import my old filters back into ABP?

Thanks,

Zoltan

only manually: from patterns.ini, copy your filters, go into options, advanced, my filters list and paste them
