Issue with Wordpress

Post by inesb »

Hi,
Yesterday I installed a wordpress platform for a new site: from the starting configuration, Firefox was not able to display the site properly, seeming to ignore the stylesheet.
You can see here a screenshot

I'm sure that the issue is related with ADBlock because I had it installed on Firefox, and the issue was resolved when I disactivetd it.
Everything was ok with other browsers (Opera, Chrome, Microsoft Edge).
Thank if you could resolve the issue

You can find the snapshots at:
Wordpress installation (ADBlock active) https://imgur.com/zS9KXdw
Homepage of the site (ADBlock active) https://imgur.com/xhs1nFL
Homepage of the site (ADBlock deactivated) https://imgur.com/eYi8Mlc

The site is

Code: Select all

http://pirunel.net/adv/
If you visit the site later, it could be different from the above snapshots (since I discovered what caused the issue, I kept working on without ADBlock)

yeah, the cause is the filter in easylist:

Code: Select all

.net/adv/
blocking your folder.

If you are not pushing ads ..well, just rename that folder not matching other easylist filters.

Thank for your quick answer.

I'm a fan of ADBlock, since many years, recommending it to anyone :-)
Note that some days ago I was building the site in pirunel.net/agency/, and everything was working well (I mean also with ADBlock active)
Yesterday I erased everything and restarted in pirunel.net/adv.

Sorry, I cannot understand what you mean.
What am I supposed to do? Have I to change my subdir adv name?

Exactly: as you can see the filter above is breaking your site / folder.

Fast fix: rename that folder (site).

Slow fix: report the issue at easylist repository
https://github.com/easylist/easylist/issues

but you have to wait to be fixed (you could wait weeks or more ...or some author could fix it quickly, nothing is guaranteed)
