Is 75 ad blocks for one site normal?

Hello,

A news story on techrepublic.com resulted in 75 blocks with ABP.
The site still occasionally throws a irreversible, unending loop of browser-halting "not responding" script errors.
Any comments? I'm new to ad blocking.

Thanks

Do a test:

- disable (completely) ABP
- install uBo (ublock origin)
- test the site, see if works better

Hello again,

I installed uBlock. For one article on techrepublic.com it returned 85 ad blocks (default settings)!
Does anyone call out sites for producing excessive ads?

I like to send links to myself of stories from various tech news sites. Those sites seem to produce most of the script errors.
I've noticed that after the browser tab shows a site load as complete, the browser may continue to
receive site traffic and ad blocks for dozens of seconds or even a minute or two. Have any of the ad blockers
incorporated a feature to halt all traffic after a specified amount of time?

Thanks
