Reply received notification

Sorry to be so dumb, but I just posted a query concering Whitelisting and all most immediately received an e-mail notification that I had a *Private* reply. I've searched all my boxes and can't find that reply.

Could someone please reply and tell me how to find my *Private* mail

There's a personal messaging system with a link to your "inbox" at the top of the page. It could be saying something like "You have one new message".
