I had an issue with Ad Block not responding to configuration changes, so I followed the instructions to create a new profile. After doing so and enabling the anti-tracking items in Firefox, my adblock plus appears to be disabled again. I cannot adjust any settings or filters and it's allowing some ads to show. I'm not sure how it is interacting, but so far, that appears to be what's causing the bad behavior.

more or less the same problem here with Firetox 60.2.0esr (64 bits) and Adblock 3.3.1 - Linux 4.9.0-7
Adblock appears to have been "neutralised" on every new start on FFx i.e. options not available, no icon and ads freely showing on web pages.
The only thing I found to do was remove adblockplus and reinstall.
Things then work fine until next day - options + blocking
Looking for explanation/solution to get this wonderful extension working again,
