Importing legacy filter list

Post by catmato »

With Firefox 52ESR reaching EoL next week, is there any way to import my custom filters from 2.x to the webextension version? I recall that when the webextension version was released, this capability didn't exist, but has there been any work to allow this? I've been using and adding to the same list for many years across many devices and it would be a shame to lose them all.

Just copy / paste your custom filters from the old to the new version.

or (better) use an own list uploaded on some free server:

Thanks, I got it working. I had no idea you could copy filters directly from the 2.x filter preferences window; I had been trying to do something with my exported .ini file to no avail. Is there a reason that file can't be imported directly into 3.x?
