I have many (!) tabs open in my 5 Firefox windows. On opening Firefox, there is a high CPU load situation during which Firefox is completely blocked: tabs won't load and I can't switch tabs or open new ones. The UI is frozen. This blocking time seems to correlate with the amount of tabs. Now Firefox won't even open correctly anymore, but crashes after ~5 minutes. After disabling ABP via Firefox safe mode, everything is back to normal. But I would like to use ABP...
My Firefox is up-to-date (65.0.2, 64bit).
High CPU load on opening Firefox and eventually crash
Re: High CPU load on opening Firefox and eventually crash
Could you repeat the same test disabling ABP and using as adblocker uBo (ublock origin):

?

?
Re: High CPU load on opening Firefox and eventually crash
Seems to work for now. However, only very few tabs have been reloaded so far. I'll report back in case the issue returns.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot!
Re: High CPU load on opening Firefox and eventually crash
well, uBo is a totally different adblocker (even stronger than ABP), you got it, right ? use only uBo if it's ok for you
