Firefox Add-ons Deactivated

Post by sbell »

Hello Everyone!

We are aware that most add-ons on Firefox including Adblock Plus were recently deactivated due to an issue with the browser’s signing certificate expiring. Mozilla has released an official update to deal with this issue https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05 ... n-firefox/. If the update has not yet reached you, please try updating manually using this link https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/. Let us know if this resolves your issue!

Thanks

I don't dare to try it considering other users have and it made no difference.
I might try it at my work place next week, I'll let you know if I can do it.

I can’t update Firefox to the newest version as I intentionally use the ESR version of Firefox (52.9.0 32-bit).
Is there a way to get Adblock Plus to work again on that browser too as before?

Edit: After reading this thread
forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=65919
I disabled the signatures.required entry in the settings and could install adblock plus again.

After the chaos ABP worked for a day maybe? but it hasn't worked since sometime on the 7th I'm using Firefox Quantum 66.0.5 (64-bit)
It will let me hide ads manually but won't do it automatically and all the ads are driving me crazy I never knew where all over the place since using ABP

It's the only extension I have besides xkit for tumblr :?

Hi @socialmisfit !

Thanks for reaching out to us! Hmmmm. That sounds really odd. Can you confirm what filter lists you are using with Adblock Plus? Does it the issue persist if you remove and reinstall Adblock Plus? We look forward to your follow up!
