Google ad settings not loading

Hello,
I have installed Adblock Plus anew after the recent Firefox Addons problem (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/s ... rtificate/) and since then I can't set my Google ad preferences (for sign-out activity). The website https://adssettings.google.com remains blank, except for the address bar. It loads only if I restart Firefox with addons disabled (safe mode). But when I set the preferences (i.e. disable everything) and restart the Firefox with addons, the preferences appear to be lost and all ads are back. Interestingly "signed-out search activity" remains disabled (this is possible to check since it loads: https://www.google.com/history/optout?utm_source=pp).
I had the same set of addons before the Firefox addon problem and never experienced any issues with the Google ads preferences.
My other addons are (except the YouTube blocker I've been having all of them for years, with no issues):

Cookie Autodelete (I disable Autoclean before restarting Firefox in the safe mode, and moreover google.com and *.google.com are whitelisted so I suppose the cookies are staying on my HD)
Disconnect (https://disconnect.me/)
AdBlocker for YouTube (this one is new since after the new installation of Adblock Plus the ads on Youtube started to appear (??!))

I've tried to disable them one by one but couldn't find the culprit. My main suspect for the website not loading is, however, Adblock Plus, or more precisely, some new efforts by Google to fight back against Adblock. As I briefly mentioned above, the newly installed Adblock Plus didn't seem to block (some) ads on youtube either. It'd just be a strange coincidence that Google changed some ad algorithms on their side just at the time of the Firefox addons problem... But that's just my lame speculation. First and foremost, I'd like to know:

Does anybody experience the same problems?

Try these steps
- disable ABP (from addon page)
- install uBo (ublock origin - a strong adblocker)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ck-origin/
- see if now that site is working

Thanks a lot, it seems to be working!
It did prevent the ad settings page from loading (which I take as a strong indication the Adblock Plus did the same) but displayed a message where I could temporarily disable blocking on this page and after I did that, the page loaded.

The "sponsored" search results on google search seem to be gone as well!

However their appearance was NOT caused by the ad settings getting lost (as I thought). The settings were preserved, as I established later but hiding the "sponsored" results seem to be an adblocker job. So again, Adblock Plus failure, all of a sudden.
I find it very weird that the Adblock Plus, after the re-installation, got suddenly so much less effective (including overreacting where it's not needed)... if anybody has an explanation, I'd be very curious.
But in any case, the uBo seems to do what's required of it... so far also no ads on YouTube (I've disabled the YT Adblocker as well).
