i just tested firefox 5.0 with adblock 1.3.8, looks like the issue is indeed fixed

No it's not fixed for me, it went up to nearly 1GB for no good reason. In another test, when I closed all the tabs, memory usage went up! I'm not blaming adblock plus I think it's a fault in Firefox 5. I was using it on MS Windows.

They have fixed many memory leaks in that.
