Still unenforceable and still vague. That ToS could be read in a way which prohibits the use of screen readers by the blind.

They could explicitly insert a no-adblock clause and it still won't be enforced. Maintaining the facade of cool and the do-no-evil marketing strategy is more important to them than chasing down users who don't view ads and wouldn't interact with ads even if they could be forced to view them.

If Google pursued an end user for violating the ToS over adblocking then the mask will be off and people will start to see them for the evil and intrusive advertising juggernaut they are.

Google spends enormous sums of money making people think they are just a bunch of innovative techies who like working on cool tech stuff. The self-driving cars and April fool's 8 bit map gags are all part of this strategy. The board of directors of one of the world's largest corporations wouldn't put up with these unprofitable pet projects and sidelines if it weren't essential for making people think that Google is their friend.

why should we even care? let up block what we like and go away. google is a bad company anyway.

even if this bs would end up in google sueing ABP or something and they will show all google ads. I am sure there would be the most famous illegal Firefox plugin (ABP fork) within days. even thinking about this makes no sense.

Google's garbage can be canned through DNS alone. They're fighting a losing battle.

Even if the advertising cartel buys off Congress to stop ad blockers, we can always move to building comprehensive whitelists with RequestPolicy. The harder they squeeze the more will slip through their fingers.
