Hi,
I am using ADP on 2 machines, both with Linux Mint 18.3 and both are "up to date" and both using Chromium (with same account and settings).
However, from some weeks ago I started experiencing very slow browsing and after some tests realized that the problem is ADP.
And it happens only on one of the machines.
Simply if I disable it (or just disable the "EasyList" filter) it's working again fast.
What I mean with "slow browsing" - reloading simple page takes ages and sometimes the page freezes for a moment.
What I tried already with no effect:
- reinstall ADP
- removing Chrome + all settings from the local folder + install again
The only difference between the 2 machines is that one of it is AMD Ryzen based (the one with problems), but I doubt it's related as it worked long time without issues.
I'll be happy if you give me some ideas.
Best,
Simo
Slow browsing when ABP is "On"
Re: Slow browsing when ABP is "On"
Only on that machine, disable ABP, install uBo (ublock origin) and test it on the same pages.

Thanks for the answer!
That suggestion actually fixed the problem.
Could you explain what exactly is causing it if it's clear?
Thanks!

Re: Slow browsing when ABP is "On"
well, uBo is ...known to be faster than ABP.
What is unclear is why you noted is slower only on one machine.

Yep, just tested now on the machine where there are no problems and honestly I can't see a difference...
Anyway, problem solved. Thanks again!

Note that uBo has a lot more lists enabled by default ! and ...even so is faster
