Why do I have to refresh the page to block ads?
Why do I have to refresh the page to block ads?
Everytime I open the browser adds are not blocked. I have to refresh the pages to start blocking adds. Happens even with the developmental build. Doesn't happen in firefox. Is this going to be fixed anytime soon???

I get a similar affair, but only with facebook ads, everything else works fine.
Re: Why do I have to refresh the page to block ads?
I've fairly recently begun to see this occur in Gmail when reading en email.
When first opening an email to read, I see ads on the left. If I hit refresh, the ads disappear. This is pretty consistent behaviour.

"left" should read "right". Doh!When first opening an email to read, I see ads on the left.
Re: Why do I have to refresh the page to block ads?
This problem occurs with both EasyList and Fanboy's Adblock List.
I've tried adding a custom filter (mail.google.com##.u5 is the element filter suggested) to block these RHS ads, but this only works on the email being viewed when the custom filter is first created. Subsequently returning to the Inbox and then re-viewing that same email again results in the RHS ads appearing again.
FWIW, I have the ABP option "Allow some non-intrusive advertising" un-checked, so I really don't understand why I'm consistently seeing these RHS ads in Gmail, or more importantly, why everyone else isn't also seeing them.

the fact you must refresh a page to block ads it's a chrome bug when that page is one of your home pages.

All the while I thought I was the only one experiencing this problem that's why I decided to join this forum to check if other users experience the same problem. I hope to find solution to this issue
