Adblock Plus

I accidently removed adblock from chrome, when I tried to install it again, it won't even install. Whenever I install it, it says that an error occurred and gives me this message "Variable $tid$ used but not defined."

I've tried to remove and reinstall chrome several times now.

Btw tid means time in danish.

Having the same issues, on 2 computers.

One is running Windows XP(at work), the other is a fresh install of Windows 8.

Latest dev. pack and deleting the profiles does not work, however adblockpluschrome-1.4.1.951 installs without a hickup.

Variable $tid$ used but not defined

Experiencing the exact same problem. Installed ABP in Chrome on XP and am now trying to install on another machine with Win 7 and getting the error (same google profile).

Will try to remove the extension from the xp machine and see if that helps. If a new google profile is truly the only way.. count me out!

Great extension.. really sad that it has this problem.

THIS SOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR ME!

Noticed that a small part of the error message was in danish and that Chrome was set to my local language (also danish). When I changed it to English (USA) the problem was solved and the package installed without errors.

If you are using non-english (USA) language in your chrome, try this:

1. Go to settings
2. Scroll down and select "Show advanced settings"
3. Select "Language and input settings"
4. Change language to "English (United States)
5. Now try to install ABP again

Yup, seems like Adblock Plus doesn't work well with a Danish installation of Chrome. This is something the ABP developers might want to look into, but a reasonable work-around is to simply change your chrome browser language to English.
