Adblock Plus- Videos on Websites like ESPN Won't Play

For the past few days I have been unable to watch videos on websites like ESPN and CNET. When I try to watch, the video comes up black and it won't load.


If I disable Adblock Plus, the videos work.

I have "manually" updated Easylist. It's my only filter. Still nothing.

I am using Chrome 38, and Adblock Plus 1.8.4

It is working for me, but I am chrome stable which is Chrome 37 with ABP latest of course.

Same here for ESPN again. Newest Chrome and Adblock. This happens every now and then with ESPN where I have to disable adblock and then they punish me by playing the same ad before every video.

This resolved the issues I was having on ESPN. I'm running Chrome 38.0.2125.66 beta and AdBlock 1.8.5. Thanks!

in the stable chrome 37 it's working without those filters, it's due to a bug in the chrome beta 38 (and dev 39)

I don't think it's a bug on Chrome.

If it's the same on two betas, I think it's a feature added in. Meaning the plug in filters now needs to be updated.

Is this a custom filter we're supposed to add?

yes, custom filters (2 rows, 2 filters)
click abp icon, options, "add your own filters" tab, add the filters 1 by 1

I was having the same issue on ESPN, followed the instructions here on this page and inserted the two instructions into Ad Block Plus and now I can watch videos on ESPN, thanks!
