I have version 1.9.4 Every time I start my computer I have to enable the Adblock program. It may also go off at other times.

Thanks for any help - it works fine otherwise

you mean:
- completely disabled (in the extensions page)
or
- every site you visit the icon is grey
?

Did you already try clearing cookies / cache, reinstall ABP ?
or resetting chrome and install ABP ?

Thanks for responding - completely disabled - the icon disappears - I go to the extensions and reload. I tried reinstalling ABP. What does resetting Chrome entail?

Thanks again - I had looked at that and thought it was a hassle to reset everything.

usually it's some corrupt chrome profile when happens such behaviour, so, I don't see other way

however, first you could see if your ABP is working fine using chrome portable

chrome portable it's not about another device, you can use it as another chrome on your system (it's not installed like your current chrome, put its folder somewhere on desktop)

This morning when I turned on the computer I had to reload Adblock on Chrome but it was active on the portable Chrome- so I need to reset. Thanks for all your help.
