CWTV is at it again

Post by dakre18 »

It appears CWTV is blocking ads again, and I wanted some help to find the new code and figure out what the new filter/s will be.

As of right now, these are the 3 filters that no longer work:

Code: Select all

@@||imasdk.googleapis.com^$domain=cwtv.com
@@||securepubads.g.doubleclick.net^$script,domain=cwtv.com
@@cwtv.com$elemhide

I may have found a solution, but I will post what i found.

I noticed some new blocked traffic from footprint, but after a few test filters, i narrowed it down to these two required filters:

Code: Select all

@@||securepubads.g.doubleclick.net^$domain=cwtv.com
@@||secure.footprint.net^$domain=cwtv.com
Without either of those, or adding $script to either one, it will detect the ads being blocked.

I also removed all my other filters and left only those 2 to make sure.

CWTV.com Detecting AdBlocking Software

Post by ThePhantasm »

So today cwtv.com is detecting adblock plus. I am only using easylist and have no custom filters for the ABP.

Example website:

http://cwtv.com/shows/the-flash/?play=a ... 3b7d0f811f

Anyone have any help for a newbie?

This worked for me. Thank you!

I've tried both of these scripts, and they're not working for me.

Firefox 49.0.1
Adblock Plus 2.7.3

I have. I've tried adding them in one row, in two separate rows, and in both one row and two separate rows at the same time.

Those work some of the time. The video gets to where an ad should be an stops working the majority of the time. It just cuts to black.

Just wait until the video reaches the first dot. Nothing will play past that. It just black screens and the video no longer works until reload.
