AdBlock..not blocking popup/ads on smart website

Hi,

I use a web page to watch/host videos

with two problems:

1- The popups are escaping ADP, using some sort of long link like this: data:text/html;base64,PGh0bWw+...[200 charaters..]. They open, for example, when clicking play on a video. This are not friendly ads, they open pages with porn, people talking and a lot of other crap. The only way I found to disable them is to use a No-Javascript extension but then the video player won't work.

2- The ADS are not blocked. I suspect this is because their "ID" is auto generated. When I do "block element" I see: "class="ZmuVIZFNYXU"" and it changes at every reload, when the ads re appear. The source of the images seems to be a folder tree with 5000 characters and 200 subfolder, I don't even know..

You mean Option -> Manually edit filters -> copy paste that between the lines right?

Because I did that and got:

Unknown filter option

EDIT:
My mistake, I was adding to the wrong adblock. ADBLOCKPLUS accepted this filter.
However I see no results.. still popups and the same ads

1. use the last dev build (and disable / remove the stable ABP) and add the filters above

3. there are (rarely) some new kind of popups which ABP cannot block for now (a patch is under review)

Ok we made some progress. With the suggestions of your previous post, now the ads are gone, however, the popups remain.
If you try starting the video, or pausing is a few times, pages will open.
While before all would stay open, now I see that ADP closes some of them, but not all of them.

Yes sir, it seems like this last filter did the trick. I do wonder why adb doesn't block all popups by default though??

well, it's not so simple. ABP is using filters, is not a general popup blocker, but on site basis.
More, there are also legitimate popups on some sites which a general blocker could break (or maintain whitelist lists).
