Created an account just for this issue. it is annoying enough to have ads in the mobile spotify, let alone in the web player.

The filters above are hit and miss - how about ABP releasing a new version that has this take care of?

just add that filter. It has nothing to do with ABP itself, it's about adding a filter to the main list (Easylist).

Many thanx yak. Return of audio ads since release of new web player has been a major pain. Dunno how u figured it out but this filter seems to be working great, hope it lasts.

That filter works for most people, but not all. The following filter comes straight from Michael Gundlach, who told us that it works in all cases he's found:

Code: Select all

/mp3-ad/*$domain=open.spotify.com|play.spotify.com

Since adding the "/mp3-ad/*$domain=open.spotify.com" filter noticed Spotify web player stopped playing after one (or two) songs. Also "Oops, something went wrong..." banner between songs had disappeared. Deleted that filter, now just relying on "/mp3-ad/*" filter in Easylist as mapx notes. Non-stop behavior has resumed along with Oops banner (which of course disappears within a few seconds)

If you don't want to use the web player just use Spotti ad block, works fine for me :)
