Third party "survey" resulting in new tab advertisements

I dumbly accepted the opportunity to fill out a survey for a website that I use frequently but it ended up being a scammer which now has my attempts at doing anything on any page with a new tab and pop-up......how do I make this stop and go away?

If your system were infested by malware, scan it using some utility like:

malwarebytes antimalware (free version) ==> https://www.malwarebytes.org/
and adwcleaner http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

then report the site, exact page where you found that crap. Report it at easylist forum: http://forums.lanik.us/
