What do the numbers mean?

Post by Twidget »

My AdBlock shows 4 MILLION blocks. How is that even possible?

I know one site I visit is very aggressive with ads but they say AdBlock is blocking 'components' not ads and thats why the number is so high.

What exactly does the 4 million represent? Actual ads or components of ads?

Wooow!!! That's a lot of blocked items! Could you send us a screenshot of this? Some websites do produce more ads or elements that are recognized as blockable in ABP. You can check the list of blocked and blockable ABP items in the developer tools panel of your browser. This helps you see what is actually blocked and bring more clarification to the numbers you see on the ABP icon.

How to get there:
Go to Menu > Web Developer > Web Console and then click on "Adblock Plus" tab. (Firefox)

Go to Menu > More Tools > Developer tools and then click on "Adblock Plus" tab then refresh the page. (Chrome)

The blocked items appear in red.

I hope this helps!
