Just a Hello!

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this to, but I've only just joined after having been using this great plugin wonderful plugin with Chrome (and ALL my other browsers including Microsoft Edge) so please accept my apologies if I should have posted this elsewhere. Mods - please move to a more appropriate forum if necessary.

Just wanted to say Hi! and thank the developers of Adblock Plus for such a great plugin. I decided today to make a donation as a thank you for all of your hard work! I'm an IT professional and hope to be of help to other forum members over time, including getting some help and support if I ever need it, though, with Adblock Plus, I've never really felt the need for support.

So thanks again from a very satisfied user from Australia.

Great that you're a mod on that forum too because my Hi post in the Off Topic area was just dissaproved with a reason of;

Topic disapproved: "Just a Hi from a new member!"

My post contained no links at all, no mention of any software except Adblock Plus and certainly didn't make any mention of pirated software.

I'd would have taken a screenshot, but didn't see the point.

I'm truly not trying to start a debate here, just trying to understand. The lanik.us forum looks like a direct spin-off of this forum and claims it supports talk about Adblock Plus on its home page, or it's displaying the wrong home page?

Anyway, the other forum aside, do you have an appropriate forum area for miscellaneous topics/posts at this forum?

Well, easylist subscription is used in all the adblockers (ABP, AB, ublock origin, adguard ..) and the forum entitled "easylist forum" is not a spin-off of this or other forum. It's perfectly independent.

When you have an issue with ABP (but not a filter issue) just post here or on the bug tracker: https://issues.adblockplus.org

Ok, then I still don't understand the problem in mentioning ABP in a posting though, if I had a filter issue with Adblock Plus. But I don't want to make a big deal about it here in my first posting so let's just forget that part of it.

But as to my other question: "do you have an appropriate forum area for miscellaneous topics/posts at this forum?" of is making the post I made in this particular thread acceptible? I don't want to be breaking any rules with my first post
