Filter works with Firefox and not with Chrome.

Post by markrlondon »

I'm trying the video/image sections, that appear on the google search results web page. These filters work fine with firefox:

Code: Select all

google.com##g-section-with-header
gooogle.com##g-scrolling-carousel
They don't work for Chrome. Maybe Chrome blocks these filters. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I tested right now => working fine

For your example link was enough adding

Code: Select all

google.com##g-section-with-header
Are you sure you disabled the acceptable ads in ABP ?

Are you saying that you don't see the list of youtube Videos at the top of the web page, in the search results?

If so, what operating system are you running?

The plot thickens, though. I just discovered that in FIrefox, where I thought the rules worked, that the rules only work in my account. If I start with a fresh account, or start Firefox in my account, after I removed my Firefox preferences, that the rules don't work. I can't figure out what the difference is.

I'll have to see what happens if I try the same rules on a mac.

I hate computers.

Ah, the key was to uncheck the box that was allowing "acceptable ads". Thanks for the help!
