can't enable

I can no longer enable my adblock (nor ABP) on chrome. It claims to be disabled, but when I "enable" it, nothing happens. If I go back to the manage apps and extensions page, it remains not enabled. What is going on?????

Try a new fresh profile in chrome and then reinstall in that profile ABP
