Well, so you know it's working very well, stick with uBo in chrome too.

I have it working perfectly in Firefox with additional custom filters, but not Chrome. In Chrome, it breaks the web page.
I have Firefox working better with ABP than uBo, but not with Chrome.

I don't understand: what is broken in chrome + uBo ? I hope you don't keep both adblockers enabled.

No, I don't. I only have one enabled at a time.

What I am saying is that if I use the exact same custom filters in Adblock Plus in both Firefox and Chrome, I can get 100% ad free Daily Mail, but those exact filters that I use breaks Daily Mail using Adblock Plus in Chrome.
My list even blocks the pop-up videos in Firefox without breaking the video itself. I have compiled them over a period of time. uBlock Origin in its default state doesn't do as good as that.

The main page of dailymail.co.uk is not too bad. When you click on a story, that page is taking ages to load 6+ mins and with ads galore.
This has only been a fairly recent thing.
Dailymail.co.uk has become unuseable for me.

Marlene01 wrote:Thanks. I have been a long time user of Addblock but I had to go for Ublock (thanks for the tip my friend) I use the dm site a lot and since yesterday it is not viewable with tons of adds. Most by taboola. Using Ublok they are indeed gone. I hope addblock will be updated.

When viewing msn.com in Firefox ads from taboola where just overwhelming. So this old geek tried to write some custom ABP filters and that only resulted in a partial success on blocking taboola. Trying to block taboola is like playing whack a mole. Then I read this post and installed unBlock in FIrefox. Problem solved! Taboola is gone! Thanks. :D

Did you disable ABP filters list ? It should be enabled.

For the social icons did you use the social list ?

No, it is not a problem in websites, but AdBlock is behind competition. With AdBlock Plus, Daily Mail, Bild ... and some other websites do what they like to do in theirs websites, placing +100 ads per page. With some other adblockers, they cannot. AdBlock is behind competition. I used it for years, now I am out. When they made the best product like before, I will be back.

Lists are enabled, ad-blocking + social icon blocking is enabled and the lists are up to date. No settings have been changed recently by me.

Yesterday, this was working fine, but today, its not working. Maybe DailyMail changed something on some of their pages.

The ABP icon counts the number of blocked ads.

Hello @vondes!

Thanks for making us aware. I was unable to reproduce on my end. In fact I typically get the anti ad blocker warning when visiting this site. Are you are still experiencing this issue?

Thanks
