As shown in the above screen shot, cnet.com has a Dell ad near the top of the home page.

Using the Chrome element inspector, I found that this ad was within a div called "madison_ad_154_100", so the following filter removed it.

cnet.com###madison_ad_154_100

There might be a more efficient filter or a better way to block it, but I guess this might be a good starting point. This ad is blocked with Adblock Plus in Firefox, while subscribed to the easylist.

I don't see this ad...can you try clicking "Update now" in the ABPC options screen and reloading the page?

However, I do see another ad on the right side of the screen, which is hidden by the following filter:
Code: Select all
cnet.com##.shopperSpecials

I updated my filters, but I'm still seeing the Dell ad.

I've even tried it on my ubuntu 10.04 laptop with Chrome 8.0.552.224.

At this point, I no longer see that ad. I removed the adblock filters and saw that the ad had changed, but I saw in the element inspector that it was the same div name. Not sure why it's being blocked now.
