What about including the Element Hiding Helper?

Hi guys,

What about including the Element Hiding Helper? This would make ABP for Chrome even better!
Thanks,

For now we have lots of issues in Adblock Plus itself that will most likely keep us busy for at least half a year ;)

I would rephrase it.
Google Chrome is still non-usable browser, as it lacks proper ad-blocking.
Firefox has it, but only when "Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus" is also installed.

Of course it's nice to finally see core "Addblock Plus for Google Chrome" available.
But still, I see no easy way to block adds (iframes, divs, etc.) on Chrome, like I did it on Firefox.
Yes, there is a possibility to "click on element to hide", but without ability to choose "wider"/"narrower" element, it's nearly useless.
As I will need to look into page source, and enter rules by hand into another tab, reload affected page hoping to see if it worked, etc.

As a result, I keep downloading Chrome once a year, just to see if usable adblock functionality is available. Unfortunately, not yet.
But really thanks a lot for doing what you already did, and good luck with continuing it :)

BTW Element Hiding Helper.... hides, it does not block ads.

This is why it's a good addition to ABP :)

Actually, all it does is make it easier to develop element-hiding rules: ABP by itself uses element-hiding rules, and on Chrome it actually resorts to element-hiding when a timing issue keeps it from actually blocking some content from being downloaded.
