Getting Adblock to perform same functionality as Disconnect

I have been using Disconnect (
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... eifhpjdfeo) to block facebook, google, yahoo, etc. from tracking my browsing. I was wondering if Adblock could perform the same functionality by adding a few blocking rules. Any thoughts on this?

I don't think ABP blocks cookies, at least not in Chrome.

Adblock Plus can block scripts that are intended to set cookies regardless of the browser, but the extension does not specifically control the cookie permissions for a given domain.
