Chrome doesn't seem to block ANY video ads, or superimposed ads on youtube. I recently switched to Chrome from FF and I cannot tolerate video ads! Banners are relatively harmless but that's all I see as being blocked so far, it's disappointing.

I don't know how many times it needs to be said on these forums and on the main site, but they can't be blocked because of a limitation in Chrome itself; some of the YouTube ads can be blocked only because the references to the ad content are in the HTML page and not in the Flash file that the video plays in.

Also from a security perspective, banners are actually more dangerous as a vehicle for malvertising, especially if done via iframes or plugin content; Chrome extensions can still keep a whole Flash file from being downloaded (object request), just not anything requested from within that Flash file once it has been downloaded (object subrequest).
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
