Unable to update filter lists - CORS error

Hi, i am unable to update easylist, abp filters list in my chrome.

Adblock Plus version - 3.8.4
browser and browser version number - 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)
computer operating system - macOS Catalina v10.15.3

Tried reinstalling the extension. Still no luck.
Seems to be a CORS issue while downloading those resources.

Getting the following error in console (extensions inspect view page) -
Access to fetch at 'https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus. ... n=20200626' from origin 'chrome-extension://cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. We've seen a similar report not too long ago (see forum post) so can you check whether you have any of the extensions installed from this list?
