It was the only reason I got this addon. Advertisements make a website look nice in most cases with vibrant colors and most of the time they are tailored to what you like and can help you discover products you may like. However YouTube is not going to make me sit through a forced, 30 second advertisement every few videos.

In addition to making sure YouTube in-video advertisements are blocked, it would be a good idea to start with a customization screen on start that, by default, as all options blanked. It would make it easier to choose exactly what you want (like if you just want to block YouTube advertisements).

This is a known issue that we are currently unable to do much about given that the developer of Adblock Plus for Chrome, Wladimir, is on holiday. When the extension is updated to permit videos to be blocked the adverts should be removed - the majority of subscriptions already include the required filters.
