Firefox 24 starts up slow with Adblock Plus 2.3.2

As the subject header states, the latest version of Firefox opens up slowly when the current version of Adblock Plus is installed. There's a noticeable two-to-three second delay. It might not seem much, but it is rather annoying considering that Firefox opens up instantly WITHOUT Adblock installed. I know the issue is related to Firefox and Adblock because a) I don't have any other extensions installed, and b) I did a fresh reinstall of Firefox and ONLY Adblock Plus, and immediately noticed the issue. Firefox settings were set as default, but for Adblock I enabled its Malware and Privacy protection features.

Currently running:
Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 64-bit
All Windows and system drivers updated
Processor: AMD Phenom x6 1100T 3.31 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6950
Memory: 8 GB of RAM

Hmm, I uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox and Adblock and made sure that Malware (and other extra features) was not enabled. The problem still persists, unfortunately. It DOES feel like Firefox loads up a half-second or a second faster this time though, but still it's not the same compared to when Adblock is completely removed. Strangely, I don't recall ever having experienced this problem with older versions of Firefox/Adblock, so it seems like this is a relatively new issue...

Forgot to mention that I'm running an Intel SSD 320 Series 120GB hard drive. System is currently optimized. The problem is not with my hard drive.

Please look at https://issues.adblockplus.org/ticket/177 and https://issues.adblockplus.org/ticket/238 This should work better with the latest development release. If not, please file a detailed report at https://issues.adblockplus.org
