ABP's preferences randomly wiped out

Post by LaPub »

Hi,

sometimes (not every time) ABP is "reset" upon browser startup.
No list and no custom filters anymore!

Using ABP 1.5.5 on Google Chrome 29.0.1547.76 on OS 10.6.8.

Regards.

@LaPub
Before that happened, did Chrome crash or was your computer not switched of properly (power blackout, system crash, ...) or do you have issues with the hard drive?

Thank you for the replies...

@mapx
the page does not display at all and it should happen each time Chrome is launched. Not randomly, don't you think?
I'll give it a shot next time anyway...

@MonztA
No crash nor sudden power off experienced : it really happens randomly.
And the hard drive seems OK...

I've just had this problem on OS X. Two things that happened not long before it started: I upgraded to 29.0.1547.76, and Chrome crashed a little later.

I am not sure whether Adblock broke before or after the crash. I was initially thinking it was as a result of the upgrade, but your comment now makes me think it might have started after the crash.

I assume that your profile corrupted at the crash, which also affected the ABP settings in return. If this is reproducable somehow for you, please file an issue at https://issues.adblockplus.org
