Is this acceptable?

Image

Four partial nudity photos and one penis reference in a single ad. On a newspaper website.

This isn't targeted based on my browsing history by the way - page was opened in a new incognito window

Hi There,

Hello,

as per my previous post, Plista ads are currently not whitelisted. If you're seeing them with ABP enabled, please make sure that you didn't create any exception rule manually. Otherwise, please answer this post.

Thanks

These ads and many of the ads which are part of the acceptable ads initiative do indeed target each user uniquely based not on the browsing history which the browser saves, but the tracked history of the (usually) IP address of the user. Almost every webpage embeds immense amounts of tracking code in the background which tracks every page you navigate and pretty much follows you around on the internet. By compiling a huge database this history and behavior of each IP address, they serve ads based on that database in an attempt to better bait a click. So incognito mode does not do anything apart from hide your local browsing habits from other who might snoop your saved history in the browser, it cannot prevent the tracking which these ads do.
