By no reply can i conclude that you deem ads portraying that they are endorsed by apple.com as acceptable?

Digiday are going to have a field day with this!

Thank you for pointing this out. Misleading ads are indeed unacceptable. We'll fix it if this is in fact happening.

Why have extra sites been added to the whitelist for RevContent and not been opened up for discussion on this forum?

Same goes for many other acceptable ads whitelist filters that have been added, but not posted on here. Seems very dodgy to me.

Ads that are whitelisted on the same basis -that is, ads that have similar format and location every publisher they appear on- aren't always posted in the forum. The first examples posted are meant to be test pages for our userbase to reproduce them and see how they will look like on other websites. In any case, the exception rules list is of public access and every single whitelist filter is accesible from there: https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus. ... nrules.txt

Thanks.

A bit late to this,..

RevContent have checks in place to insert ads if Adblock is enabled (via a websocket, element checks also). I wouldn't recommend allowing it. Given it forced Adblock Plus to hack an websocket implementation in Chrome because of RevContent websocket ads.

tldr. Abusive behavior to Easylist/Adblock Plus users.
