You should use the latest version, which is currently 12.14. Previous versions had issues with forgetting the settings for add-ons. The minimum version required is 12.10.

Now that Opera is planning to transition to a Chromium base, will you maintain ABP Opera for "legacy" versions (basically 12.10 to just before 13): http://arstechnica.com/information-tech ... to-webkit/
Of course, for future versions of Opera, the Chrome version will work; I have read that among other things, Dragonfly will be dropped, and Opera will provide a means for OEX developers to convert their extensions to CRX, implying that OEX support will also be dropped.
